May 31 (continued) \u2013 I managed to make a skype call to Rod the Realtor.  I sensed the doubt in his voice.  He assumed we must have left the patio door wide open, but 45 minutes later he was as soaked as our bath supplies. \u201cI\u2019ll get back to you,\u201d his voice trembled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within the hour he was helping us pack.  The good news is, at no additional cost, he is going to let us use one of his other properties, a luxury 2 bedroom condo in the exclusive, high security area called Playacar with full access to all their amenities.  The bad news is\u2026 We\u2019re stuck in a luxury 2 bedroom condo in the exclusive, high security area called Playacar with full access to all their amenities.  It\u2019s \u201clow season\u201d and besides the security folks, we are the only ones we\u2019ve seen in our area.  Nothing, that we really like to do, is within walking distance\u2026 prisoners of our own castle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As evening came we insisted on walking, through the drizzle, back into town, (evidently, walking is below most of the Playacar residents).  We sought out dinner at one of the bar\/restaurants near our old, leaky condo.  They remembered us and a good time was had by one and all as I educated the waiters in the ways of Spurs Basketball.  They were thrilled that the game went into overtime since We were their only customers at this point and overtime meant another round of tequila.  About 11 we taxi\u2019d back to the land that American Express built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

June 1 \u2013 The rain is continuing, relentless through the night and\u2026 Well, it will be less redundant if I just let you know when it stops. The forecast says maybe by Wednesday.  Great.  I guess complaining is rather whiny of me.  This place doesn\u2019t leak and the grounds are nice.  So we languished away the day after making a grocery run.  Sharon made a delishioso dinner and we put a serious dent in a bottle of tequila. That, combined with the sound of the storm outside, made for a deep sleep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

June 2 \u2013 Looks like the rain has subsided. We packed up to take a day trip to Holbox, (Hole-bosh) which is north of Cancun.  We stopped by to see Rod on the way.  He informed us that our original condo was fixed and one of the other realtors stayed the night there just to make sure. Soo\u2026 we put Hol Box on hold,  trekked back to Playacar, packed up again, re-relocated to our little condo in town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are at peace and all is right with the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wait\u2026 It\u2019s starting to drizzle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
