Day 14. 7/11/12

Some of the best days are when you have no plans and you follow through with your non-plans.  We had a nice simple breakfast then headed out to the beach in front of the condo.  We ended up sauntering down the beach, spotting more sea glass.

A few hours of this and you’re ready for the air-conditioned condo.  We popped in a few CDs, popped a couple of cold ones and proceeded to dance and giggle and generally… chill.  Hours of mindless entertainment.  The evening was capped-off with a surprise chicken dish that Sharon conjured up using Mexican Raisin Bran.  Quite tasty with a small 100% agave on the side.

Day 15. 7/12/12

Out of the Condo early.  We checked out at 8 and started making our way back to Toluca for tomorrows flight home.  I had taken a couple of hours to plot out a fool-proof route so as to not have the same problems we had upon leaving Toluca on day 2.  The best laid plans are are no defense against the Mexican map makers.  My creative route easily added a couple of hours to the trip and got us nowhere closer to our destination.  It was all cows, clouds and unusual smells.  We reachedToluca about 3 pm and quickly found a nice place for an early dinner. Within a block or two of the restaurant, we checked into one of them “special”hotels.  Large jacuzzi, hot water,  big bed.  I don’t think the sun was set before we both were sound asleep.  Thanks jacuzzi.

Day 16.  7/13/12

What else can we say?  The morning went flawless.  No wrong turns.  Got to the Airport about 8, turned in the filthy rental car that we put over 2000 kilometers on, and are now sitting in the AmericanExpress Club.  Free stuff, including coffee, pan dulce and wi-fi.
