December 20. We checked out Las Manzanillas, not to be confused with Manzanillo 45 miles to the south. It was the only overcast day we’ve experienced on this trip and a very slight drizzle. This worked out perfectly for a visit to their large and incredible crocodile compound. It’s in a thick mangrove so potential pesky bugs were kept at bay. But it also seemed pretty dangerous. The walkway was but 12″ above the brackish water and fencing between the handrail and walkway was pretty flimsy and the only thing separating you from the full grown, jump out of the river and grab a wildebeest size crocodiles. Glad we didn’t have any raw chicken on us.

San Patricio on a Saturday Night.

The carnival came to town. Small. Somewhat dangerous. Full Bar. Kids operated kids rides. Adults were not supervising.
